The Chelsea boot, invented for Queen Victoria in the mid-19th century, was shaped by London's creative scene in the late 1960s. The term “Chelsea boot” was primarily established by the artists from the Chelsea district of London who wore the shoe. The Beatles' choice of shoes in the 1960s also spread the model further.

This model has been running at Dr.Martens as the 2976 since the 1970s and is one of the absolute classic models. This Docs model, as the first unlaced boot in the collection, is characterized by the well-known air-cushion sole and the yellow stitching. A more elegant variant is the model 2976 PW with a covered, heat-sealed seam. As known from Dr.Martens, these shoes are always available in special colors, with a platform, lined or in collaboration with artists or bands. So there is something for everyone here too.

But the DM 2976 are not the only absolute Chelsea classics.

Blundstone also offers sturdy, functional and stylish boots. The Australian company has been producing the Blundstone 500 (“The Original”) as a work shoe since 1870.

However, boots have long ceased to be pure work shoes. Originally constructed as a work shoe, we know Blunnies as sturdy, comfortable and versatile shoes. In addition to the Classic series, there is now a Comfort series, dress boots, or work shoes (CES1-3) and many more.
